# BH-1 - Basic Handgun (for pistol license)
Course Description:
This course is based directly from the first 8 hours of the instructor led classroom NRA Basic Pistol course, and currently meets the Pistol Licensing Office requirements of Oneida, Herkimer and Madison Counties. If you do not reside in the specified Counties, please check with your County's Licensing Officer to determine if BH-1 (first 8 hours of original NRA Basic Pistol Safety classroom course) will meet the requirements of your County before registering for this course.

Inquire about our “Have Gun Will Travel” Option
Allows us to travel to a location (at your home or a friend’s) suitable for having a private presentation session for you and your family, friends or neighbors, to address questions on firearm safety, pistol licensing application process, self-defense, and firearm selection. This option is available for a minimum of at least six adults, interested in obtaining a pistol permit, and who currently reside in Oneida, Madison or Herkimer Counties.
